CARACAS -- President Hugo Chávez says he doesn't support either U.S. presidential candidate but that whoever wins should not try to dominate the world.
Chávez says the future president must demonstrate that he will truly change the United States' ``focus on the world.''
The socialist president routinely refers to the United States as ''the empire,'' and has criticized President Bush for allegedly violating countries' sovereignty and trying to control the world.
In a televised address Thursday, Chávez said South American countries won't ``be anybody's colony.''
Given a choice, Chávez said he wouldn't vote for either Sens. John McCain or Barack Obama.
